About Rafeef Ziadah

‘Rafeef’s poetry demands to be heard. She is powerful, emotional and political. Please read her work and see her perform. You cannot then be indifferent to the Palestinian cause’ – Ken Loach

Rafeef Ziadah is an acclaimed Palestinian refugee poet and human rights activist. Her poems ‘We Teach Life, Sir’ and ‘Shades of Anger’ went viral within days of their release. ‘We Teach Life, Sir’ is an impassioned attack on media misrepresentation of the Palestinian cause as well as the title of her latest album. Rafeef is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at SOAS, University of London.
